BBTB 2 Challenge

I need to catch up, I'm almost a week behind!! lol
This week at BBTB 2 the challenge was to use the Baby Carrige from New Arrival. This is a really cute cut!!
I also used My Community for the door hanger and Smiley Cards for SHHH. Papers are Recollections,Papertrey Ink, DCWV and K&Company. The lace is from Michaels and I used my I-Rock and an EK Success punch.

This was fun and my daughter LOVES it!!!

BBTB2 Challenge

This card is for my 100 yr old grandmother, she fell and broke her arm and fractured her hip last week. She's such a fighter, she has already been up and walking around. She's amazing!!

This weeks challenge was to use the 6 petal flower from Bloom.

I spritzed them w/ water and crumpled them up. Then I opened them up and used my heat gun to dry them. This also makes them stiffen a bit. I sprayed them w/ Red Velvet Glimmer Mist. I drew some black lines on the center piece and glued some black seed beads in the center of the flower. I also used Sophie and Lyrical Letters, paper is Recollections, DCWV and Papertrey Ink, Lime Stickles,Swiss Dots embossing folder and a pearl strand.
I hope this will cheer her up a bit!!

Hope everyones Wednesday is going well. Only two more days till the weekend! The challenge this week was "Numbers" This is really a great challenge!!

My Mom's 65th birthday is coming this year. She said she's excited!! I asked why? Medicare, she said.
I had to laugh, Oh how our reasons to get excited change over the years! Oh well whatever makes her happy!! lol
I made my card on my Gypsy w/ Plantin Schoolbook and Storybook. Saying on inside is from Pink by Design, paper is Recollections and DCWV.
Now I just need to keep it safe and hidden for a few months. (And by safe I mean DON'T loose it!!) lol

Peachy Keen Challenge

Hi, Still trying to get all my Valentines done ahead of time. I'd be done already if my family would stop asking for more!! lol The challenge at PKS this week was "Pockets" little did I know this would create an idea to help me out. I came up w/ this 1 page card, like the valentines you gave as a kid.

I used Doodlecharms for the heart, I created a little box behind it to hold the Sweetarts. The face is PKS Princess Faces, the saying is My Creative Time's, You had me at Chocolate set. Paper is Echo Park and Recollections, embossing folder is from Darice and Star Dust Stickles. White sheer ribbon is from Wal Mart, 25 cents, SWEET!!!

Hope you are all doing well!!!

Well my Bears are out now, Boo Hoo!!! (Don't feel bad I'm a Cub fan too, so I'm used to disappointment) lol Bad year for injuries for my Bears. Oh well there's always next year!!!

That was the inspiration for my card today.

Emma's challenge was a Sports Theme w/ any cartridge.

I used Sports Mania. The paper is Papertrey Ink and Recollections, PKS Everyday Character Faces, My Creative Time's Turn That Frown Upsidedown set. I inked the football w/ Distress Ink and embossed it w/ Swiss Dots on the wrong side.

Here's to Da Bears going all the way next year!!!!

I made this wreath for the Stuck on U Sketches Snowflake challenge.

We Live in a suburb outside of Chicago, and we have'nt seen much snow this season. I put this on the front door last night, and what did I wake up to this morning? SNOW!!! Sticking to the ground. (I think I'll make a money wreath next) lol

The Snowflakes are from Winter Wonderland all paper is DCWV and Recollections, And some Stardust Stickles, Martha Stewart punch and the sparkle string is from Joann's $1 bin.

Good afternoon!!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday!!

Our's was good other than the kids knocking over the christmas tree on christmas day and over cooking the ham by an hour (never was good at math) lol Oh well, this is what makes great holiday memories, right? (please tell me right)

On to my card. I made this for PKS Face it Fridays challenge. It was a color challenge. Of course I forgot to upload the colors. This was a rough color combo for me, it took forever to decide what I was going to make. But, I think it turned out pretty good. (Sorry about the blurry pic)

I used lifes a beach, Paper doll Dress up and some circle punches, the stamp is MPS. I swirled the clouds on w/ some white chalk ink and inked all the edges w/ brown ink. all paper is from scraps. YAY!! lol

The lace was blog candy I won and the pearls are Perfect Pearls. All paper is Papertrey Ink.

This week the challenge is to create a card/project that is cricutless. In addition to not using the cricut, we had to use some type of "old school" embellishment (sticker, rub-ons, chipboard, glitter...)
Two cards this week w/ NO Cricut!!! I think I'm having withdrawls!!! lol :)

I used Cuttlebug Seeing Spots folder and stamped a flower and put a Recollections sticker on top. The "thanks" is Basic Grey sticker letters, ribbon is from Joanns and paper is Recollections and K&Company.

First off I want to say I love, LOVE, L*O*V*E this sketch!!!! I did alot to this one so lets get started.

I used Lacy Lables and Lyrical Letters cartridges,

Tim holtz Grungeboard swirls which I embossed w/ Distress powder in Antique Linen, I made this flower w/ some left over lace and the blingy brad is from Recollections.

I inked the edges of everything w/ Distress Vintage Photo, and used Antique Linen to color the doiley.

I used Crushed Olive and Worn Lipstick to highlight the photo. Paper is DCWV, Basic Grey and my paper from Costco (sorry no name) "Beautiful" is a rub on and I added some more bling w/ my I Rock.

I think this is my favorite LO for now!!!! lol

It was a sketch w/ a twist again, the twist was to use a stamped image and pop it up.
I used Gingerbread House, Pink by Design Take the cake set, Fiskers border punch which I altered and Stickles in Diamond. I colored it w/ Prismacolor colored pencils and blended w/ Oderless mineral spirits. Easy Peasy!!!

I made this Lo for my Mom for Mother's day. This is her Dad George, he passed in 1978. This is the only pic she has of him.I framed it for her. She Loved it!!!

The challenge this time was to make something w/ a banner or the banner itself. I have never made a banner before so I figured this was the perfct time to try it out!! I like the way it came out!!! In honor of Mother's Day, I made a MOM banner. I used Calligraphy Collection and Hello Kitty Font carts. PKS Everyday Paper Doll faces, Diamond Stickles, Sakura gel pens and paper is from Papertrey Ink and K&Company. I tied them all together w/ embroidery floss.

Wow!! 50 challenges, can you belive it?!! I love this sketch, I will be using it again! The twist on this sketch is to use gold on your project. In honor of 50 challenges!!! I love gold, and I love PKS. So I went all out!!!
I used Lacy Lables and Calligraphy Collection (I just won this from 217creations)Thanks Elizabeth!. My BEE is from the PKS Faceless Bugs set. This is my new fave!!!! I stamped w/ Stazon ink and cut the wings out of the packaging from the cartridge! Recycle, RECYCLE, R*E*C*Y*C*L*E!!!!! lol
I embossed the background w/ Pink By Design's Swirls 1 set, and the saying is from Take the Cake set. Flowers are Prima, brad and flower eyelet is from Eyelet Outlet.Paper is from DCWV and Papertrey Ink. I also used a gold paint pen and Sakura gel pens.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

I made this picture for my 3 year olds room. I lve how it came out! Our cat always curls up in her doll stroller and she pushes him around the house! It's sooo funny to watch the cat freak out!! lol
I used Kate's ABCs and the clouds were made by using Distress ink in Broken China. I cut out a cloud shape from a Cricut cart container and inkd around it.

The background stamp is from Pink By Design, Which I inked w/ Distress ink in Broken Glass and Faded Jeans Then spritzed w/ water. The boat is also from Pink By Design, stamped and imbossed w/ clear powder.And the saying is PBD Animated Greetings set. I love my PBD!! The paper is Papertrey Ink, K&Company and Core'dinations. I used my Sakura gel pens to add scales to the fish.

I have been saving up to buy more of Emma's stamps. Right now I have only 1. boo hoo!! The problem is I want them ALL!!! lol
But, I must say I'm getting my money out of the set I have. It's the "You had me at Chocolate" set. It worked great w/ the card I made! This challenge was to use any older cart and use green. Here's what I came up with. I used Pagoda for the bowl, the guacamole is the dirt mound from Walk in my Garden and I hand cut the triangle. Face stamp is PKS Everyday faces. I used Sakura's white and green metalic gel pens. All paper is from Papertrey Ink.
I think it came out super cute!!

Peachy Keen Challenge

This time we were to use another sketch, but we had to bling it up!! My card was pretty easy, I used a circle punch for the planet and used Plantin Schoolbook for the stars and oval. I stretched the oval a bit in my Gypsy so it would fit around the circle. I used Ranger Adirondak inks and paper to color Satern. It doesn't show up that great in the pics, but it looks really cool!! The face stamps are PKS Happy Lashes and Wide Eyed Kids. Love these 2 sets!! The saying is from Pink By Design's Oh Boy set. paper is from Papertrey Ink, ribbon is from Micheals $1 bin.

SOUS Challenge

This weeks guest designer was Sandy Winsor. Below is the sketch we were to follow. I LOVE this sketch!!
For all the scrolls I used Storybook and Plantin Schoolbook, and welded them in my Gypsy. The circle is also from PS. The mat w/ tag, is from PS and A Childs Year welded together. The butterflies are from Hannah Montana. The teal paper is from Walmart, that I spritzed w/ water, crumpled, painted,inked w/ Distress inks and then ironed. WHEW!! I love how it turned out, unfortunetly I then covered most of it up. Oh well. I also used some Perfect Pearls. I just got these and already LOVE them!! Flowers are Primas w/ pearl brads from Reccolections. I used my I Rock for the bodies on the butterflies. All other paper is from K & Co. This is my daughter Bethany in kindergarten.

This challenge was easy for me, make something w/ faux or real stitching. I can't help but put faux stitching on almost everything I make. It just adds so much. I took it one step further, I made the whole card about stitching. lol The spool and needle are from Disney's Happily Ever After cart. Cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and the patterned is DCWV. The saying is from my computer. And the awesome face is from PKS Laffy Taffy Faces. I embossed the thread on the spool w/ Cuttlebug's Forest Branches, but you can't really tell in the pic. I used some chalk, silver paint pen and white gel pen.

This week was another awsome sketch to follow at PKS. I didn't use my Cricut at all for this one!! AHHH!!

All paper is Papertrey Ink and DCWV. The stamp is the frog stamp. DUH!! ( sorry don't know the name of it) I embossed it 3 times w/ holographic powder. And colored the 4th w/ my Prisma colored pencils. I used my I Rock on the crown. The saying is from My Creative Time's You had me at Chocolate set. And my white gel pen of course.

I created this bag for my girlfriend. Last week I was feeling down and she took me out to dinner and a movie, her treat! So I plan on filling thi w/ some Keurig cups. She loves the mocha cafe ones.
The bag is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, The cute little bunny is from Paperdoll Dress Up, flower from Walk in my garden and the shape is from Lacy Lables that I stretched in my Gypsy. All paper is from Papertrey Ink, except the Spring patterned paper which is from Imaginisce Twitterpated line. The PKS face stamps are from Wide Eyed Kids and Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed sets.

For this challenge we were to create a Peachified valentine using X's & O's somewhere on our projects! X's and O's don't have to be the main focus on your project, but should be the evident theme of your project. This is what I came up w/. I think I will give this to my hubby, filled w/ Kisses!
I used Tie the Knot for the heart box and X's And O's. I welded a heart from Plantin Schoolbook, and a shadow shape from Preserves together on my Gypsy to make the Kiss. I used Princess faces and Dolly Dumplings faces. I printed the "Hersheys" on my computer.

For this week's challenge we are to use the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge and the cut is the Hello Kitty with Airplane on Page 65 of the handbook.This was a fun challenge for me because my 3 year old daughter LOVES Hello Kitty!! She kept ooooing and awwwing while I was making it. When I was done she carried it around w/ her for about an hour. lol
I used the Hello Kitty cart, Poh and Friends for the clouds and Pink by Designs Oh Boy stamp saying. And gold Stickles for the star. Background paper is Imaginisc all other paper is from Papertrey Ink.

Sarah over at Pink Cricut is looking for a new design team. I figured I would try out for it. I love her Pink by Design stamps!! I think this came out pretty cute!
I used Four legged friends for the dog, the dog bowl is actually the thing the lion stands on, from Create a Critter, sun is from Create w/ Flourish, Peachy Keen Everyday Face Parts and Princess faces, saying is from her Pink by Design Let's Eat Cake stamp set. I didn't realize how much I missed these until they came back. Emma gave us viewers choice this week. We could use any older cart, but it had to have a heart on it.

SOUS Challenge

From the first second I saw this sketch, I knew I had to do it. I love it!! I had to do it just like the sketch because it's soooo beautiful!

This is my 3 year old, Madison. We talked about going to see Santa for 2 weeks. She was sooo excited!! She kept saying " I love Santa!" and " Santa's so nice" She kept telling me what she was going to ask him for for christmas. We were set to go.

Until we got on his lap. She looked at him and said " Mommy I want up!! " very loudly. lol

I told them to just take the pic that it wasn't important if she smiled or not. I think it came out ok, and I think this LO really brings out it's best qualities. (like Santa) lol

I used Paper Lace for the circle mat.

the poinsettias are made w/ the leaf from Plantin Schoolbook, welded in my Gypsy

Santa and his reindeer are from Christmas Noel

Holly leaves are from Joys of the Season I squished and inked the leaves and added some red gems for the berries

My Pink Stamper Challenge/DT Submission

The challenge was to use Robyn's favorite colors, Pink, green and brown. I love color challenges, but it always takes me some time to make the final product. Because my mind reels w/ all the possibilities these colors can join together to make. Blah blah blah!! lol

Well here is what I came up with...
The cone and the marquee are from Once Upon a Princess. I stretched the marquee in my Gypsy.
Ice cream scoops are from Smiley Cards.
Face stamps are Peachy Keen, Dollie Dumplings and I'm sorry I don't know what the other ones are called because I got them on clearence and they didn't come in a package.
The green striped paper was from the clearence bin at my local scrapbook store, all other paper and the saying stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
And of course I used my I Rock and my white gel pen.

It was a very busy day, but very good!! I got my ATG gun and Wrap it upand Paper Lace. YAY!! I also got gift certificates to Papertrey Ink and Peachy Keen which I've already spent. lol Can't wait to get my stuff.
My son got XBox 360 w/ Kinect so looking forward to playing w/ that.
